Two wonderful commission projects at the moment,
and I am always so happy to work with brilliant animal energies.
I have an old, old connection with wolf, and I love river otters
because I know so many people (including Glen)
love river otters (and otters in general).
Excitement! :D

You really have that "spark" in the eyes of the wolf. I see enough wolves (though typically the wild ones not so close) to know it intimately. :) And I love the spirals on the otter. Did you ever get around to trying out that Deverry series by Katherine Kerr? I only ask because otters play a role in the story eventually. (It's a small one, but seeing your art reminded me.)

The eyes took a bit of work, but I'm really glad with where they're at, that sort of direct wolf stare. Man, I hope I can see wolves one day.

I did! I didn't finish the first book because I wasn't in a space for epic fantasy, but I have it bookmarked to get back to, somewhere in the stack of books in my room. :D

Hee, I can always tell the people who love otters. *grin* It's like, every time you go to the zoo and you have friends with you who love otters, you invariably hear the exclamation: 'OTTERS!!!!!!!e211223~!!!!!'

:D It's fun.

I relate to otters so much it's ridiculous. Probably because of how much I love playing in the water. Bwahaha!

Otters joke around and are silly so it seems only natural that humans who love otters react that way to the animal. :3

I love your work-in-progress posts. It's amazing to see your totems come to life.

And that OTTER! I want to play with him! :)

Woot! I always worry about the work in progress posts, so I'm glad that they're not completely redundant!

Love these sketches so far, though I have a particular weakness for canines. That wolf is giving me such a serene, wise look, I feel.

:D Putu saw the sketch of the wolf in person yesterday and he said 'this one seems wise.'
