Apple galette. This was the one that we didn't eat so fast that I couldn't take a photo of it. It's also the least pretty one. Oh, least pretty galette, you will still taste amazing (seriously, they were freakishly good, especially as we had them with local honey made from local bees feeding on local red gum trees).

Moet has recently started sleeping like this. He goes on one part of the cat tower, hooks his claws into the other part, and then rests his head on the hammock of his forepaws. IT IS AWESOME.

But then I disturbed him in an attempt to get to the cuteness.

And then Glen disturbed him by... er... no one really knows what Glen was doing, he was in the kitchen at the time.

This was when I was preparing dinner in the kitchen. This is the look they were both giving me. Because I was preparing food. AND NOT GIVING THEM ANY.

Maybe got into some trouble today. But she also got a couple of really solid sessions of training, and lots of cuddles, and she got to see guests, and she almost stole some ginger biscuit but I am developing very fast reflexes around her!!!

In addition; we had a three hour power outage today. Fun! Western Power came and fixed it pretty promptly though.

^ The anonymous reply up there somewhere was me obviously. Can't do anything right this morning -- I also managed to blow up an egg I was poaching in the microwave. I think I'm going to have to double check my work today!

Moet likes the posture enough that he's returned to it three times in a row in the past few days. I'm not sure how long he'd allow himself to sleep like that, because Maybe always right in his face when he sleeps at the top of the tower (hence why she's up there with him; because she had to be.) Heh.

Moet seems very invested in finding the most comfortable and/or interesting sleeping positions in his lifetime. Maybe, by comparison, doesn't have that 'art of cat laziness' down yet. Her sleeping positions are kind of perfunctory; though the other day I caught her in really relaxed sleeping positions a couple of times and it was awesome. I think she's learning to relax a little more.

She was a pill all day yesterday though. But all the training / cuddles tired her out and she's sleeping now. :)

The apple galettes are gorgeous. o.o Need recipe. Roommate has said if I get him supplies and a recipe he will bake whatever because he enjoys baking. >_> Want to try these things.

But make sure you look through the comments for recommendations (i.e. like adding cinnamon to the butter/sugar mix; I also prefer brown or raw sugar over castor sugar).

I first saw the icon and then the food, and I was like "wait, where's teh kitties D:".

I lol'd at their faces in the last photo.

It gets creepy when they both just watch me do stuff. Especially Moet, because he can maintain really intense eye contact for a really long time.

I just realized: Maybe looks like a cat now! A whole, grown cat! I am late to the party.

Also, your apple thing makes me want to go home and cook.

Maybe is pretty much a cat! :D She turned a year old at some amorphous time in the past month; though she's still got a little bit of thickening out to do. :)

Loving startled Moet. What's an apple galette, other than delicious? Apple and honey mostly?

Well, this one is basically just puff pastry with thinly sliced cooking apples, cinnamon, butter, brown crumbly sugar and then red gum honey after it's been cooked. They're dead easy, actually.
